Jennie Alexander was a furniture maker based in Baltimore. Coining the term ‘green woodworking’, Jennie published various papers and wrote several books including her most famous, Make a Chair from a Tree: An Introduction to Working Green Wood, first published in 1978 under her previous name John Alexander.
Jennie sadly passed away on July 12th 2018 but has left a great legacy through her celebrated carpentry techniques and as a trans woman and tradeswomen. For more information please visit here: www.greenwoodworking.com
