Lillian Gascoigne is a former machine worker and trolley bus Conductress from Nottingham, UK. Enlisted during WWII she was part of the indispensable female workforce needed to keep the country functioning and an early contributor towards women’s working equality.

This interview is part of a growing international archive documenting the experiences of women working in manual trades and non traditional employment.
